MARCHing Month

March is going to be the last month of my stay in the UK, and last month I will be working in the UK. Hence I ought to make it a month of lifetime, a month to remember rather than staying grumpy with anxiety about future in Nepal.
Having been already to the three other countries of the UK, I got to go to the Northern Ireland, which has been scheduled for 9th and 10th of March. Everything has been planned and booked. Air tickets to Belfast, taxi straight from the Airport to the Causeway trip and finally to the hotel. Its going to be my first time in a four star hotel. Sounds "rustic", but I am very excited. On 10th, roam around the Belfast city and back to Wolves in the evening to get ready for work the following day.
The next trip will be to Cambridge on 16th, which is just a day trip through University. This will complete all the local city tours from the Uni. And finally before leaving Britain, I will be visiting London for the final time.
Hence, I will be Marching the entire March month. Moreover to travelling, there will be lots of get together, boozing and merry making. I will be inundated with goodbyes and well wishes. I will be seeing many for the final time, every sight will be for the final time. All the time I had will be just a GOOD DREAM, captured on Facebook.

SnowMania

Probably the last snowfall of mine in Britain, bestowed both cheerful and hateful moments to me. I have always been a great admirer of the snow regardless of its ferocity and havoc it can cause. Snow, so white and pure, that rejoices almost everyone, and brings youth and agility even in the old bones.
Unlike last year, this year was predicted pretty good regarding snowfall. We were anticipating a white Christmas, which didn’t occur unfortunately. However heavy snowfall with Blizzard conditions was forecasted for today,18th Jan, commencing very early in the morning, red alert being issued in the Wales. Everyone was overjoyed in school for possible closure of school. I was so reliant on Met news that I didn’t even bother to prepare my lunch. Intermittently I was checking the snow at the night. I woke up with disappointment as no snow had fallen over the night. I waited till quarter to seven as I checked for any updates on Council and Local FM website.

Eventually, I pushed myself out of house in the bitter cold with some remnants of snow on the street from yesterday.  I was happy to see some flakes of snow falling over. I was hopeful that the storm of snow would start any moment.

I got late at work which was “obviously” deliberate. I had texted James in prior to inform my delay and situation. Everything was cool as we had already put out the stuffs required for the first lesson the day before. Around 9, it started to snow. The snow was blizzard, violently swirling, seemed like they were defying the gravity and flowing erratically with the wind.  I was constantly gazing outside the window. Many were surprised to see my excitement and asked me if it doesn’t snow in Nepal. Shortly, the snow environed the whole city and the school decided to dismiss at 12. We quickly rounded up stuffs for Monday and shot off.

Unfortunately, the transportation was almost at halt, vehicles were at snails pace. I decided to walk as I could overcome the speed of the bus. Moreover, I was cherishing the snow alighting over me. On reaching Birmingham city centre, i was disappointed to know the disruption in the tram service as well, so I had to go to NewStreet station to get a train. I nearly waited for an hour for the train as many were delayed due to adverse weather condition. I always detest to wait. I would have walked rather than waiting for the delayed train if it was near. Moreover, I felt like my bones are starting to crumble and my heels were sore, possibly due to walking in the cold. Finally my long wait was over and I hopped on a train to Wolverhampton.

Late afternoon we went to Westpark. On the way, we scraped snow from cars and sometimes imprinting letters or marks on them. The park was entirely enveloped in snow, all the trees were clothed in white. It felt like being in some kind of fairytale world. I couldn’t stop myself playing in the snow, sometimes just diving for the ball and sometimes just kicking on the snow heaps. We snapped many photos, which will be recalling memories in future. In a while we got wet and came home planning for a nice supper, but ended up with chicken and rice as usual.
